Help Derek Through a Critical Health Crisis: A Note from Derek's Wife
My husband, Derek, is going through a serious and rapidly changing medical situation. What started as kidney cancer has become much more complicated, and we’re facing ongoing testing, treatment, and uncertainty.
Derek is also dealing with kidney disease, and his condition has been unstable. His bloodwork has been fluctuating, his blood sugar is spiking and dropping unpredictably, and it’s putting additional strain on his body. We’re facing more testing, more appointments, and possibly another hospital stay as doctors try to figure out exactly what’s happening.
If you’ve ever sat in a hospital room, you know how quickly everything changes—and how helpless it can feel.
Derek is strong, but this has been a lot—physically, emotionally, and financially.
We’re asking for help to cover:
- Medical expenses and treatments
- Travel to specialists and appointments
- Daily costs while navigating all of this
I’ve spent a lot of my life being the one who shows up for others. Right now, I’m just trying to be there for him the same way.
